Just the four medals for Sophie Unwin and her tandem partner Jenny Holl in Paris with a brilliant two gold medals, a silver and a bronze. The pairing doubled their total medal tally in Paris, with their women’s B road race success one of the most memorable sprint finishes of the games.

Sophie Unwin only entered the elite performance programme with British Cycling in 2021, following a Talent ID-day in 2020.

The pair won a gold medal in the women’s B road race at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships, in what was only their second competitive race together.

Sophie won two medals at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games - a bronze in the Women’s B 3000m Individual Pursuit and silver along with pilot Jenny Holl in the Women’s Road Race tandem B.
