Olivia Broome is a double Paralympic medaliist with back-to back bronze medals in the up to 50kg division for Para powerlifting.
Olivia is the reigning World champion in the -50kg category and Paris 2024 was her second Paralympic Games.
The Manchester lifter originally got involved with the sport on the recommendation of her sister who did some volunteering on a UK Sport talent ID programme called DiscoverYourGold.. She was invited down to Loughborough University and her career kickstarted from there at the age of 15.
In Dubai last year, a lift of 112kg was enough to win her first senior title adding to the junior version she won two years earlier.
On her Paralympic debut in Tokyo, she won her first medal with a lift of 107kg on her second attempt, which was enough to claim bronze. At the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games she secured a silver medal and missed out on gold by just 2.2kg.
