Paris 2024 was Oliver’s second Paralympic Games. And for a second Games in a row, he won a silver and bronze medal in the team Foil and Épée events with teammates Dimitri Coutya and Piers Gilliver.

Lam-Watson won the same two medals on his Paralympic debut in Tokyo, three years after winning his first medal in the sport, which he decided to pursue after an online search.

Oliver recalls his first Paralympic memory as watching wheelchair racing at nine years-old and asking his auntie “Can I do that?” He is an athlete that likes to challenge himself and before fencing he completed a Spartan Race, a series of obstacle format races ranging anywhere from 3 miles to ultra marathon distances.

Oliver spent six years studying architecture before realising he wanted to spend his time dedicated to social change around disability inclusion.

Outside of fencing, Ollie likes to give insight into his life on social media where he has a combined following of 50,000 across Instagram and TikTok. He is an advocate for mental health, enjoys skateboarding, photography and travelling. He is also an ambassador for Paralympic sponsor Allianz and a public speaker that delivered a TED talk in 2019. Always driven by challenges, he has a tattoo on his wrist that reads “do more.”
