Meggan will make her Paralympic debut at Beijing 2022 however it won’t be her first taste of a multi-sport Games.
A former wheelchair racer, Meggan was selected to compete for Scotland on home turf at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games where she finished 7th in the 1500m final.
After missing out on selection for Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, Meggan opted to try her hand at something new, taking up Wheelchair Curling in 2018.
Her rapid progression in the sport has seen Meggan selected as reserve for Scotland’s 2020 World Wheelchair Curling Championships squad, before being promoted to the on-ice team at the 2021 Championships earlier this season in Beijing.
She made he Paralympic debut at Beijing 2022 where the Wheelchair Curlers had some notable victories including a 10-6 success against the USA, who finished fifth in the competition, but ultimately were knocked out at the round robin stage
