Bio
Kylie became the first woman to ever win a Paralympic Gold medal in Wheelchair Rugby when GB beat USA 54-49 in the final at Tokyo 2020.
She played recreationally for London Wheelchair Rugby Club from 2008 and in 2011 was invited to GB trials, where she successfully made selection onto the full squad.
A year later she was representing her country as part of the GB wheelchair rugby team at the London 2012 Paralympics. She was one of only two women that competed in wheelchair rugby at London 2012, the other being Belgium’s Bieke Ketelbuters.
Kylie narrowly missed selection to be part of the 2013 European Championship team and continued to be involved in the GB squad until 2014. It was then she took the decision to switch from a team sport to an individual discipline in Para athletics. Once again representing her country at the Rio Paralympics, finishing 4th in the F51 women’s club throw.
Throughout her time competing in athletics Kylie continued to train and play club rugby with London Wheelchair Rugby Club, never losing her love for the sport. She returned to the GB squad in October 2018.
