Sidbury’s first taste of wheelchair racing was at age 8, but it was short lived because his family moved to Spain soon after. Over 10 years later after returning to the UK, he decided he wanted to do the London Marathon.
After participating in his first marathon he was hooked on wheelchair racing and went on to complete two more London Marathons each faster than the last.
He made his international debut at the 2021 European Championships in Poland, where he collected a silver medal in the T54 1500m as well as fourth finishes in the 400m and 5000m. This earned him selection to his debut Paralympic Games in Tokyo, where he made the T54 1500m final, finishing sixth.
Sidbury represented England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games to win silver in the T54 1500m before collecting two bronze medals in the 800m and 5000m at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships in Paris.
