Bly is one of the youngest members of ParalympicsGB at the age of just 14. She has always been sporty in her childhood enjoying swimming, football, horse riding and tennis - she’s even won a primary school dodgeball tournament.
The Brighton-based athlete only discovered Para table tennis as recently as 2021 when she attended a multi-sports event for SEND children.
Having declined a try-out with GB Para swimming she began to focus on table tennis. Within six months, she was competing in the National Club League and within a year she had been selected for the British Para Table Tennis development squad.
Her international debut came at the March 2023 Costa Brava Spanish Open, and she quickly picked up her first medal two months later with bronze in the Class 7 singles at the Polish Open before collecting the same medal at the 2023 European championships in Sheffield.
The first gold soon followed at the 2023 French Open, where she beat the Chinese World number three Wang Rui 3-0 to top the podium for the first time.
Bly, who has an identical twin sister Ellis, attends Cardinal Newman Catholic School who are very supportive of her table tennis career and she trains regularly with World champion Will Bayley who is also based in Brighton.
