Thomas Young burst onto the scene with double T38 gold in 100m and T38 200m at the 2018 European Championships in Berlin.
Success continued at Tokyo 2020 where Young was one of ParalympicsGB’s stars as he claimed T38 100m gold on his Games debut in 10.94 seconds.
During his preparation for Paris 2024, Young eclipsed his PB with a 10.93 second time, improving on his Tokyo winning time by 0.01 seconds.
At Paris 2024 he missed out on a medal by the narrowest of margins just one hundredth of a second.
The 24-year-old went into the final of the men’s T38 100m as defending champion but was narrowly pipped to bronze by Juan Alejandro Campas Sanchez of Columbia at the Stade de France.
