Bio
Stephen Miller is one of ParalympicGB’s most decorated Para athletes ever. He first competed in the club throw as a 16 year-old at the Atlanta Games where he won gold. Further triumph followed in Sydney and Athens before silver in Beijing and bronze in Tokyo.
Awarded an MBE in New Year’s honours list in 2016, Miller has given a lot back to the community through his inspirational talks. An avid visitor to schools, athletics clubs and businesses in the north east area, the Newcastle United fan is keen to inspire people to take up sport and get active.
After captaining the British Paralympic team at London 2012, Miller went on to win a bronze medal at Rio 2016 - his sixth consecutive Paralympic Games.
In 2017 he claimed a bronze medal on home soil at the World Championships in London and in 2018 won European silver in Berlin.
