Edinburgh based Para snowboarder Matt was inspired to participate in sport after watching the London 2012 Paralympic Games and seeing “all sorts of adaptive genius in play.”

After representing GB at the World Juniors for athletics, and achieving national records in the velodrome, he found a passion for snowboarding after taking some time away from competing. First learning to snowboard in Les Deux Alps in 2018, he quickly became hooked on its creative nature.

Hamilton is keen to inspire others and help them find a sport that enriches their life, believing that there’s something for everyone and you just need to give it a go.

Off snow Matt is a big mountain biker and classes himself as a bit of a gamer - enjoying the retro fantasy game Old School RuneScape.
