Mark Swan roared his way to a Paralympic silver medal at Paris 2024.
Mark headed to Paris as a two-weight European record holder in the 65kg and 72kg class but competed in the former category for his Paralympic debut.
He has a personal best lift of 202kg and has a world junior title to his name along with Commonwealth silver in 2022.
The young Geordie began his Powerlifting journey at an event for the Dwarf Sports Association Games where his first lift of 70kg earned him a bronze medal. But now Mark say he won’t settle for less than gold after his first taste of victory at the Manchester Powerlifting World Cup in 2021.
Outside of lifting weights, Mark is a fan of combat sports, fishing and outdoor activities.
