Marcus Perrineau Daley made a stunning Paralympic Games debut at Paris 2024 by securing the Silver medal in the T52 100m in the Stade de France.
Marcus first tried wheelchair boxing and rugby before he took up wheelchair racing, where he is ranked in the world top 10 for the T52 100m with a personal best time of 17.38 seconds with he set in Switzerland in June this year.
Marcus features in a BBC series called the Idris Takeover by actor Idris Elba “Marcus the Wheelchair Boxer” where he talks about how he found boxing after a serious accident.
In 2014, Marcus crashed his motorbike on a roundabout junction and broke his neck in three places, severing his spinal cord. Doctors told him it was a miracle that he survived. He is an ambassador for the Transform Trauma appeal run by Barts Charity. Before his accident, he worked as a model and a DJ but now focuses on the fitness industry as a personal trainer.
