Paris 2024 saw Lee make his Paralympic debut and be part of the Wheelchair Basketball team that achieved the nation’s best result in the sport in 28 years by claiming second place and the silver medal. In a pulsating final, ParalympicsGB fought back from 12 points down but succumbed to 73-69 defeat to Team USA who claimed their own title of the greatest team ever after making it a historic three titles on the trot.
After gaining his first international cap as a junior at the U-22 Europeans, Lee made his full senior debut at the 2023 World Championships, where the team won silver. In the same year, Lee helped the team achieve a undefeated run at the 2023 European Championships where they claimed gold.
Lee discovered wheelchair basketball when he was in school and his first club were the Wakefield Whirlwinds before playing in the higher divisions with Sheffield Steelers. He now plays his club basketball in Spain.
Lee has recently taken up fishing as a new hobby after a friend invited him along to have a go.
Despite not catching anything in three hours, Lee enjoys the tranquillity of fishing and how it enables him to switch off.
