Bio
Born with Osteogensis Imperfecta, Jordanne’s Paralympic ambitions were fuelled by her father’s success at the 1984 Paralympics after he won the men’s 100m L3 bronze medal in New York.
A former world No.1 junior, she made her Paralympic debut as a 16-year-old in Beijing in 2008 and subsequently won the women’s doubles bronze medal alongside fellow Brit Lucy Shuker at both London 2012 and Rio 2016.
A former World Team Cup junior gold medallist, Jordanne has won a string of silver and bronze medals whilst representing Great Britain in the women’s event. She is a 12-time Grand Slam champion, having won her only singles Grand Slam title to date at the 2015 US Open, and has won 11 Grand Slam doubles titles partnering Japan’s Yui Kamiji. In 2014 Whiley and Kamiji won the calendar Grand Slam for women’s doubles In January 2018 she gave birth to son Jackson, launching her international comeback in February 2019.
