Jodie Waite made her Paralympic debut in Paris aged only 19, which will also mark her debut for the senior women’s team. She was part of the team that reached the Quarter-Finals at Paris 2024 losing to Team USA 59-52.
Jodie had her junior debut in 2023 at the U25 World Championships in Thailand, where the squad claimed silver.
Born in Limerick, Jodie’s representation for GB comes through her parents. Jodie has been named as the Best Irish Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Player of the Year three consecutive times from 2020 to 2023.
When Jodie isn’t in camp or away at competition, she likes to stay focused by shooting hoops by herself at the University of East London where she is currently living and studying. Jodie likes to stay connected to home while she’s away by FaceTiming her golden retriever as well as her family.
