Jack made his Paralympic debut in Tokyo, which he describes as a “dream” after the team triumphed as the first European nation to win Paralympic gold. He was one of four members from the Leicester Tigers club to come home from Japan with the historic title.
They narrrowly missed out on a medal at Paris 2024 finishing fourth after a narrow 50-48 defeat to Australia - a team they had been in the group stage
He has been a member of the GB squad since 2015 and he did play rugby before an accident in 2008 where he broke his neck at the age of 16 when he collapsed at the bottom of a ruck during a game.
Just over a year later and Jack was back playing rugby, only this time in a wheelchair. He took up the sport in 2009 at the North East Bulls, his local team.
Jack is an avid sports fan that follows rugby in the winter with his local club Billingham RFUC, cricket in the summer and golf all year round.
Outside of the Tokyo Paralympics, Jack has also helped the team in the 2022 European final as well as being a two-time finalist in the Quad Nations tournament.
