A redistribution of slots by the International Paralympic Committee handed Hetty Bartlett the chance to compete at her debut Games in Tokyo, as one of three people added to the ParalympicsGB squad in early August.
The 30-year-old already has pedigree on the international scene, having won 200m gold at the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi, and also finishing fourth in the long jump.
In Tokyo, she finished sixth in the T38 Long Jump and also placed sixth in the T38 100m one year later at the Commonwealth Games representing England in Birmingham.
A lover of animals and sport in her youth, Bartlett started athletics when she was 14 and counts walking the dogs, going to the cinema and going clothes shopping among her interests away from the track.
