It was Paralympic gold at last for Fin Graham who recovered from the agony of his silver in the men’s road race in Tokyo to win a commanding gold in the men’s C1-3 road race. The Brit added to his gold with a silver in the men’s C3 3000m individual pursuit.
Fin Graham won a silver medal in the Men’s Road Race C1-C3 at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games with his team-mate Ben Watson claiming the gold medal. He also finished fourth in the Time Trial C3.
A promising MC3 rider, Graham has performed well on both track and road in his formative years with the Great Britain Cycling Team.
A product of the Great Britain Cycling Team development programme, Scotland’s Graham was born with bilateral club feet, which leaves him with no calf muscle and little to no movement in his ankles.
Having enjoyed mountain biking in his early teenage years, Graham switched his focus and caught the attention of British Cycling’s para-cycling programme in 2016.
In 2017, he claimed his first national para-cycling road title, and was selected for his first world championships on the road in 2018. There, he secured a top-ten finish in the road race, underlining his potential.
He made his debut at a track world championships in 2019, where he finished agonisingly close to a medal in both the kilo and pursuit.
