Fabienne André first took up Para swimming at age 14 and only began training as a wheelchair racer in athletics in 2018.
André secured double European gold in Bydgoszcz in June 2020, winning the T34 100m and 800m titles that earned her a spot on the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic team, where she finished 4th in the T34 800m and fifth in the 100m.
Fabienne also secured a bronze in the T34 100m in the 2022 Commonwealth games, with teammate Karé Adenegan and Hannah Cockroft also securing medals
The Brighton athlete collected her first World Championship medal in 2023 with a bronze completing a British podium sweep in the T34 100m and she just missed out on the podium in fourth for the 800m.
