GB regain European title in style
**Great Britain’s men are European wheelchair basketball champions for the seventh time, beating Spain 75-52 to regain their title. **
Haj Bhania’s side have been outstanding in Wałbrzych, Poland, winning all eight games to add a continental crown to the last summer’s World Championship gold.
Tokyo qualification is in the bag and their European title regained, having narrowly lost out to Turkey in 2017.
They imposed themselves on the final from the tip, leading 16-7 at the end of the first quarter and extending their advantage to 14 at half-time and 21 with a quarter to play.
Five-time Paralympian Terry Bywater scored heavily as the tournament went on, making 34 points in the semi-final win over reigning champions Turkey, and put up 19 points in the final triumph.
Skipper Phil Pratt led from the front at both ends of the floor with 12 rebounds and 11 assists, crowning a memorable week for the team.
