Wood saw off a world-class British field to qualify his spot for Tokyo 2020 - he then went on to claim bronze in the men’s Va’a Single 200m (VL3) on his Games debut.

The VL3 athlete enjoyed a stand-out 2019 season, becoming European Champion after a fantastic debut race in Poznan, before claiming bronze in a strong field of athletes at the 2019 World Championships in Szeged.

Wood graduated from the University of Bath where he studied Maths, Physics and Computer Science, and works in Software Development in Nottingham.
