Phoebe, who has a variety of nicknames such as Pheebs, P3 or Triple P just missed out on a podium place to her teammate and friend Jodie Grinham by just one point in a bronze medal match that went to the final arrow.
On her Paralympic debut in Tokyo, Phoebe rallied back from the ranking round, where she finished 16th out of 24, all the way to the Paralympic final after a series of close wins in the knockout stages.
With her last arrow, she beat Chile’s Mariana Zuniga Varela by one point (134-133) to claim her first Paralympic title.
Phoebe has spina bifida and first tried archery on a family holiday enjoying it so much she joined her local club. She is also a student at Worcester University, studying sports coaching science and Pedegogy.
Phoebe moved to Telford in 2019 from her family home in Cirencester, in the Cotswolds. In 2024 she has won two bronze medals at the European Para Championships: one with Jodie Grisham in the compound women’s open doubles category, and the other with Nathan MacQueen in the compound mixed team division. She also won a silver medal with Jodie Grinham at the European Para Cup.
Phoebe’s hobbies outside of archery are all around testing her knowledge or keeping active. She enjoys subjects such as Geology and learning languages as well as drawing or going swimming.
