Bio

Lewis White made his Paralympic debut at Rio 2016.

Lewis started competing at the age of 10 at his local club in Swadlincote before moving to Derby in 2013, inspired to aim for the Paralympics after watching coverage of London 2012.

Upon arriving a Rio, Lewis won bronze in the men’s 400m freestyle S9 and competed in a number of other events. Individually, he represented ParalympicsGB in the 100m backstroke S9 and the 100m freestyle S9, and he raced in the 4x100m freestyle relay (34pts) alongside teammates Ollie Hynd, Matt Wylie and Josef Craig, where the British quartet narrowly missed out on the podium, finishing in 4th place.

Since Rio 2016, Lewis has represented Team England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Australia, winning silver in the 100m freestyle S9.
