Jason first tried out wheelchair curling in October 2022, having been persuaded to contact English wheelchair curler Stewart Pimblett by a mutual friend he made while recovering in hospital following his motorcycle accident the previous year.
The Newcastle man quickly took to the sport - within one month, Jason had lined up at his first competition. By the summer of 2023 he was trialling for England; he made his international debut the same year.
At the B World Championships in November 2024 Jason and his England teammates team excelled, finishing on the podium with bronze and qualifying for the World Wheelchair Championships in Stevenston, Ayrshire in the process. At that event, which took place in March 2025, England cemented their position on the world stage, finishing in eighth place.
Jason, who progressed through British Curling’s Paralympic Pathway programme, will make his Paralympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026 in the mixed doubles event which is new to the programme for these Games.
