Bio
Alison is competing in her third consecutive Games as a Para-triathlete and her first as a mother after giving birth to her son Logan last year.
Coincidentally, Logan was born at the same time of the Test event for Paris and the journey of motherhood has inspired Alison to win more medals after claiming a silver medal at her debut Paralympics in Rio.
Previously, Alison came from a swimming background as a world champion from the IBSA World Games for the visually impaired over 800m and has also represented Scotland on the athletics track before focusing on the triple discipline in 2013.
Two World and European titles followed to qualify for Rio 2016 and with her guide Hazel Macleod, they finished behind Australian duo Katie Kelly and Michelle Jones.
Alison missed out on the medals in Tokyo with a fourth placed finish and her last race before her maternity break was collecting a bronze at the 2022 World Championships.
Alison has found fine form quickly and returned to the course in Devenport, Australia in March this year, where she finished an impressive second and she has racked up a series of podium finishes since.
