The David Ross Foundation and ParalympicsGB join forces
The David Ross Foundation (DRF) and the British Paralympic Association have joined forces to support our athletes’ journey at the Summer Games in Tokyo, as well as the next Winter Games in Beijing 2022.
Over the next 2 years the DRF will be donating £200,000, which will give our Paralympians the very best chance to do our nation proud, and from this, to support our vision; ‘through sport, inspire a better world for disabled people’.
This generous gift will allow the charity to harness the inspirational impact of Paralympic athletes to both challenge perceptions of disabled people and encourage grassroots participation and excellence in disability sport. Our talented elite athletes will be visiting the schools within the David Ross Education Trust to inspire the pupils and increase the uptake of Para sport amongst the next generation.
To engage the public, it is essential that ParalympicsGB excel on this biggest sporting stage and the DRF will have a huge role to play in helping secure medals, highlight the ability within disability and ultimately help to shift societal perceptions.
