Taylor takes silver in Turkey
Great Britain secured a silver and two bronze medals at the Paratriathlon World Cup in Alanya.
The standout British result in Turkey came from Michael Taylor, who narrowly missed out on gold in the PTS4 men’s event.
Taylor completed the swim faster than anyone else in the field but was eventually beaten by Russia’s Mikhail Kolmakov who finished in 01:05:27, 14 seconds ahead of the Brit.
Meanwhile Alison Peasgood dug deep and produced a fantastic run to secure PTVI women’s bronze in a time of 01:16:55 behind Russia’s Ksenia Vibornykh and winner Anna Barbaro of Italy.
And Stuart Meikle made it a hat-trick of British medals with a bronze in the PTS2 men’s race finishing, once more, behind Russians, Mikhail Astashov and Vasilii Egorov.
