Scotland gain first win at World Championships
Scotland bounced back at the World Wheelchair Curling Championship as they eased past Switzerland to register their first win of the competition.
Having lost their opening two games to Russia and Slovakia, the pressure was on but an impressive Scottish rink responded brilliantly to get their campaign up and running.
The result sees them move up to joint-eighth in the round robin standings.
Hugh Nibloe and his rink started brilliantly, claiming a 1-0 lead and they added two more stones in the third end to give themselves a 3-1 advantage.
Ends four, five and six continued the Scottish dominance as they extended their lead by four more.
And, in the seventh and final end, Scotland made it 8-1 in the perfect riposte to their early tournament struggles.
Scotland next face a challenging double header on Monday against Estonia in the morning before squaring off with Canada in the evening.
