Job: Head of Governance and Compliance

This is a permanent position with a salary of £53K - £55K per annum (dependent on experience), plus 25 days’ (rising to 30) paid holiday, flexible working and benefits package.

About us

We are the British Paralympic Association (BPA). As the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) for Great Britain, it is our responsibility to select, prepare, enter, fund and manage the ParalympicsGB team at the Paralympic Games. We also have a strong strategic objective to use the successes and the stories of Paralympian athletes to inspire wider societal change.

About you

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate how they have made governance and compliance an integral part of a well-run organisation. This is a new position at the BPA and represents an opportunity for you to make this role your own.

The role will encompass the BPA’s relationship with our member organisations, the BPA’s responsibilities as a leading member of the International Paralympic Committee and all aspects of internal governance, including our Board and Sub-Committees. Our compliance with the requirements of the Code for Sports Governance, with a strong focus on the new requirement for Diversity and Inclusion Action Plans, will also be an important part of your remit.

You will be excited by a busy and wide-ranging role and will have the high-level thinking needed to prioritise and lead a number of key areas of work, whilst also being happy to get involved in the detail.
