Hogan Lovells launches 2025 Nicholas Cheffings Para Athlete Bursary
Global law firm and ParalympicsGB’s Official Legal Services Provider Hogan Lovells has announced the launch of its 2025 Nicholas Cheffings Para Athlete Bursary applications.
The Nicholas Cheffings Para Athlete bursary will support ten Para athletes on their journey towards the next Paralympic Games as the focus turns to the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games and Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
Eligible Para athletes who are recognised by ParalympicsGB and their National Governing Body can apply for a one-off bursary to help with any aspect of their sporting development. This includes purchasing or replacing vital equipment, paying for travel to training camps and competitions, or additional coaching and training support services.

Launching the bursary for the seventh consecutive year and having been a longstanding Gold Partner to ParalympicsGB since 2008, Hogan Lovells is pleased to continue its support of the team, helping it to achieve successful performances at every Paralympic Games since London 2012.
ParalympicsGB athlete, Paris 2024 bronze and silver medallist and 2024 bursary recipient, Zac Shaw, commented: “After missing out on the previous two Paralympics I was really focused and determined to make the team in Paris. The Nicholas Cheffings Para Athlete bursary ensured I was supported so I could go above and beyond to make the team. The team at Hogan Lovells are really supportive and I’m very grateful to have been part of it. To go to Paris and come back with two medals is more than I could have ever dreamed of.”
