Giant slalom bronze for Knight and Wild
Great Britain’s Millie Knight and Brett Wild secured a bronze medal in the giant slalom at the World Para Alpine Skiing World Cup in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.
After the first run, the duo placed second in the standings just 0.04 seconds ahead of compatriots Menna Fitzpatrick and Gary Smith.
However, a quick run by German Noemi Ewa Ristau saw her move up the rankings from fourth to second meaning Knight and Wild moved into third place with Fitzpatrick and Smith in fourth.
Elsewhere in the men’s event, Neil and Andrew Simpson claimed a fifth-place finish in a time of 1:58.12.
There are three further days of competition on the Slovenian slopes where the Brits will contest another two giant slaloms on Tuesday and Wednesday, before ending with a slalom on the final day of competition.
