Get Set
Get Set is ParalympicsGB and Team GB’s youth engagement programme. It was originally created as the official London 2012 education programme, to deliver against Lord Coe’s vision to use the Games to inspire a generation of young people.
Today Get Set’s mission is to ‘Enable every young person to live a healthier, happier and more active life, everyday’.
The programme aims to:
- Ensure all young people in Britain know about the Olympics and Paralympics and understand how they can participate in Get Set
- Drive increased and ongoing participation in activities that support the health and wellbeing of all young people by leveraging the power of movement
- Provide all young people with the experiences they need to grow in confidence and strength, including the power to challenge attitudes around disability
- Empower young people to advocate for the mental, social, emotional, and physical wellbeing of themselves and those around them
The heart of the programme
Lots of free, easy to use resources and athlete videos sit at the heart of Get Set. The platform provides young people, teachers and other adults who work with young people with access to a wide range of opportunities which can be used in the classroom, on the playground and in the community.

More than PE and sport
Get Set is a flexible, cross-curricular programme, which uses the Values to help young people fulfil their potential in all walks of life. Lots of schools and youth groups use the programme to support their PE and sport offer but it’s just as relevant to the arts, PSHE, geography, leadership and volunteering and so much more…
Get active this winter!
To celebrate Milano Cortina 2026, we’re inviting children aged 5-11 and their families to get active with Get Set for Milan – a virtual journey around the sporting venues.
For a sustainable future
