Job: Athlete Services Manager

Organisation: British Paralympic Association

Contract: Full Time

Salary: £35,000 - £41,000

Location: Currently London based at the BPA Head Office, with the potential to offer the flexibility of a mobile based role for the right candidate.

The role will also include time at domestic and overseas training/preparation events and major competitions, as required.

Do you have demonstrable experience in high performance sport, a track record of delivering success in this environment and a detailed understanding of what it takes to win?

Are you passionate about Paralympic sport and in providing world leading services and support to Paralympic athletes?

Can you deliver your best performances when under pressure and support others to do the same?

Are you a team player?

If so you could be part of a world leading National Paralympic Committee that works tirelessly with National Governing Bodies and its high performance system partners to deliver the ‘best prepared’ ParalympicsGB team at each summer and winter Games.

Demonstrating the BPA’s core values at all times, the post holder will assume responsibility in leading, managing and delivery of the BPA’s Athlete Services Strategy. Working within the Sport directorate led by BPA Director of Sport and Chef de Mission, Penny Briscoe, the post holder will:

  1. Demonstrate exemplary leadership of identified elements of the BPA’s Athlete Services Strategy and associated programmes, people and partnerships

  2. Exhibit excellence in the management and delivery of identified governance and mandated athlete services including anti-doping, welfare and safeguarding and wider performance services including pre-Games Preparation

  3. Provide world class advice and support to all Paralympic sports; contributing positively to a ‘best prepared’ team at each Paralympic Games

  4. Provide other input and support as a member of the ParalympicsGB core team in the creation and delivery of optimal pre-Games and Games-time environments.
