Bio
After being voted MVP (Most Valuable Player) at the 2018 World Championships, Gregg Warburton is recognised as one of the best wheelchair basketball players in the world.
Gregg is a double World Champion having captained the GB Junior Men to bring home the U23 World Championships title in 2017 and was a member of the 2018 GB squad which secured the gold medal win after beating the USA in the final in Hamburg.
A significant force in GB’s historic win Gregg featured in the starting five line-up for each GB game, he claimed tournament top scorer for GB clocking up 110pts during the competition.
Since taking up wheelchair basketball at age 10, Gregg has collected numerous accolades and trophies including success at the School Games and individual awards at the National Junior Championships.
A regular in the GB junior team during his junior years, Gregg followed-up bronze at the 2012 U22 European Championships with Gold at the same Championships two years later.
Rio 2016 was Gregg’s senior major championships debut for GB, where he and the squad brought home the Paralympic Games bronze medal. Following senior and junior Worlds success in 2017 and 2018, Gregg added his first senior European title in 2019.
