Bio

Aaron made his international debut in 2009 and won men’s class 6-8 Paralympic team bronze at London 2012, supporting from the bench while Ross Wilson and Will Bayley won the vital bronze medal match against Germany. Four years later the three won bronze again in Rio but this time it was Aaron who secured the medal with victory in the deciding singles match against world champions China having earlier combined with Wilson to win the doubles.

The Wandsworth athlete, who is now based in Epsom, went on to take bronze in the men’s class 8 team event at Tokyo 2020 with Ross Wilson and Billy Shilton – his third consecutive Paralympic medal –after losing in the semi-finals to China.

In 2024, Aaron secured qualification for Paris by taking gold in the USA and Italy and in April reached a career-high world ranking of two in men’s class 8.

Aaron was born with bilateral talipese (club foot) and had corrective surgery from the age of one week old. He played tennis from the age of four to 14 before taking up table tennis at school. He quickly showed potential but when his coach suggested that he should attend Paralympic trials, he was reluctant because he did not consider himself as disabled.

Away from the table, the Chelsea football fan has completed a degree in sports science as well as a course in financial marketing.
