Gold for Coutya at Wheelchair Fencing World Cup

Dimitri Coutya took gold at the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Cup in Montreal this week, a Rio 2016 qualification event.

With crucial Paralympic Games qualifying points at stake Coutya successfully defeated Russia's Alexander Kuzyukov 15-11 in the final of the Épée Class B competition.

Piers Gilliver and Gemma Collis also collected vital points towards Rio finishing 5th and 9th in their respective Épée contests capping a promising series of results for the British team.

China and Russia topped the overall medal tables.
