Dimitri Coutya of Great Britain claimed his third successive medal of the year at the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Cup in Warsaw (9-12 July).

Continuing from his impressive start at Montreal this year, where he won his first ever gold medal in the men's Épée (Class B), and the silver medal won in Pisa in the men's Foil (Class B), Coutya added to his collection in Warsaw with a second gold medal in men's Épée (Class B).

In the final against the London 2012 Paralympic champion, Jovane Guissone, Coutya slowly gained a lead with well executed attacks and counter attacks to which Guissone had no answer, resulting in Coutya taking the lead to win with a final score of 15-8.

Coutya will now be concentrating on the biggest competition of the year, the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Championships in Eger, Hungary, (September 17-24, 2015).
