Michael Peart is to take over as the new coach of the GB para-Archery team.

Performance Director Sara Symington announced the decision and said: "I look forward to welcoming Mike on board who brings both his background as a successful international archer together with a very credible coaching background."

He takes over from Tim Hazell who stepped down in October to spend more time with his family.

Mike, who was the London 2012 Technical Coach, said: "I'm really grateful for the opportunity Archery GB have given me and very thankful for the faith they have shown in me.

The Paralympic squad is a great group of athletes and I truly look forward to working with them as we move towards Rio 2016.

I've been coaching here in the UK and around the world for well over a decade now but yes this is my first full time role which is a great challenge and I'm looking forward to it."
