Phillip Saunders

Phillip had a very busy sporting career, based on snow and ice.

He attended five Winter Paralympic Games including: Innsbrook 1984 and 1988, Tignes Albertville 1992, Lillehaammer 1994 and Torino 2006.

On top of all these Paralympic appearances, Phillip came first in British Skiing Championships in 1986/87/88/89, won a Bronze medal at the World Toboggoning Championships 1990, came fifth in the World Sledge Hockey Championships in Ornkoldvik, and won a bronze medal in the 1986 European Sledge Hockey Championships, Oslo.

One of Phillips proudest moments has to be when he scored first ever GB goal against Norway in 1981.

Now living in Chesterfield, Phillips tip for the top is "always give your best and never quit".
