Maria Brooks

Maria started competing in Cerebral Palsy sports in 1971 and she competed for 16 years, retiring in 1987.

Maria was CP Class 2 National Wheelchair Slalom champion every year from 1974 until 1987.

Her achievements include one gold, two silvers & one bronze at the 1982 World CP Championships in Denmark; three silvers & two bronzes at the 1984 Paralympics in Long Island, USA; one gold at the 1985 European Championships in Belgium (Mixed 3x60 metre relay C2-3) and two golds & one silver at the 1986 World CP Championships in Belgium.

Maria now lives in Milton Keynes
