Jonathan Gribbin

Jonathan was a keen cyclist and competed at the IPC World Cycling Championships in 2005 coming 4th in the 4km pursuit and 5th in the 25km time trial.

Jonathan found he had a knack for scoring goals and switched his focus to football, becoming West Bromwich Albion’s top scorer in his first season in 2008.

Also in 2008 Jonathan competed at his first Paralympic Games, helping Great Britain finish a credible 5th. His highlight of the Games was scoring his first ever winning goal for the Great Britain Football team as Great Britain claimed its first win of the competition against South Korea.

In 2010 he was the first England player to score against Brazil in 3 years as England finished 4th at the Blind Football World Cup in Hereford. Jonathan has switched clubs and now plays for Everton.

He works as a disability sport development officer/behaviour support teacher and lives in Monmouthshire in Wales.
