Jon Amos

After representing Great Britain at Powerlifting at the Barcelona Games in 1992, Jon coached GB at 7 European and 4 World championships.

Jon was the Head Coach and Team Manager of the ParalympicsGB powerlifting team that competed at the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Paralympics Games. He also coached the England powerlifting team that competed at the Manchester 2002 and Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games and was awarded Coach of the year in 2003 and 2007.

He was part of the first intake group to be successfully offered a place on the unique UK Sport Elite Coach programme initiative started in 2004.

He is a Trustee of ParalympicsGB, and served for two terms in the past as a Director of the English Federation of Disability Sport and the British Wheelchair Sports Foundation. He is now the chairman of IPC Powerlifting.

In 1995 Jon co-founded Creative Adaptive Sports Consultancy that he still runs today. Jon lives in Bristol.
