James Brown

James has had an extremely varied sporting career.

This includes: 8 years on the GB International athletics team during which he won double gold at 1984 Summer Games in New York. 16 years on British winter sports team, competing in cross-country skiing - he won 3 bronze medals in 1986 World Winter Games in Sweden. James has also done many years of triathlon, cycling and swimming. He is currently training with the Irish Paracycling Team and is hoping to qualify for London in track and road events. Outside of sport, James attended Worcester College and Warwick University where he trained and practised as teacher before building and running hotel in Ireland. James then moved to Gloucestershire in 2006, where he worked for the Local Council for 5 years. He now runs software company and a social enterprise that provides challenging activity weekends for disabled children and young people.
