  • Date Of Birth:

Clare represented Great Britain at all major competitions between 1990 and 1996, including two Paralympic Games in 1992 and 1996.

Clare’s career highlight was winning gold and four silver medals in Barcelona 1992 at the age of 15. Clare went on to become World Champion in 1994.

Clare retired from competitive swimming in 1996 and has gone on to pursue a career at the professional services firm, Deloitte.

In 2008 Clare took up paratriathlon and now combines her professional career at Deloitte with training and competing at the highest level. In 2009 Clare was crowned World and European Paratriathlon Champion. Whilst paratriathlon is not part of the London 2012 programme, Clare is working as an ambassador with several sponsors of the Paralympic Games, to engage the public in the Paralympic Games and to promote awareness of British athletes. It goes without saying that Clare was very excited when triathlon was included in the programme for the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio and is working towards competing in her third Paralympic Games in a second sport.
