Alan Ash

As a school boy Alan was a keen footballer and was on the books of Wolves, West Brom and Arsenal.

After leaving school Alan enlisted in the Royal Marines. While on leave from the Marines Alan was involved in a road traffic accident that left him with a spinal injury at the age of 17.

Six years later he was selected as part of the Great Britain wheelchair rugby team when the sport made its debut at the Atlanta Paralympic Games. Alan was the most experienced player on the rugby squad in Beijing and was the only player that had competed at the 3 previous Games.

Alan has found interest in both snooker and pool. Alan lives in the West Midlands.
