Cities across the UK will host Carnival events during the Games in September 2016.
The Carnival kicks off at Stoke Mandeville, the historic birthplace of the Paralympic Movement, on the day of the Heritage Flame Lighting Ceremony. The party will then move to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where it will join the Mayor of London's Liberty Festival for the fourth year to create a day of celebration of disability arts and sport. From there, the Carnival will visit Cardiff, Nottingham and Edinburgh!
The Carnival events build on the successful formula of the National Paralympic Days since 2013. Each event at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park attracted over 15,000 people, and over 6,000 people attended regional events in Liverpool, Birmingham, Plymouth, Brighton and Nottingham.
