Emma Boggis

Emma joined the BPA as a Independent Non-Executive Director in July 2013 for a four year term, and in 2017 was appointed Senior Independent Director.

Emma is currently the Chief Executive of the Sport and Recreation Alliance and has many years experience in the senior civil service working across three central government departments. Most recently she has led the Olympic and Paralympic Legacy Unit to support Lord Coe as the Prime Minister’s Olympic and Paralympic Legacy Ambassador, establishing a role in the sporting landscape post London 2012.

Prior to that, Emma’s earlier roles have included Private Secretary to the Prime Minister, Deputy Head of Mission in the British Embassy in Madrid, Deputy Director in the Cabinet Office with responsibility for social policy and legislation and as an officer in the British Army.
